Default What is wrong with my set up??

I have a 2008 LY6 6.0. I have done the vvt delete. Everything in engine is new and top notch parts. The only thing not new is the rotating assembly. It is carbed with a Vic. jr. intake 950 pro system carb. 1 7/8 long tubes MSD 6012 box with a th350all the good parts and a brake. It is in a 2800lb. s-10. BTR speced the engine for me and says it should make right at 600hp. According to my MPH in the 1/4 it is nowhere near that. I need some help and some opinions on what i need to change or add to get where I want it to be. My goals are 108-110 mph in the 1/8 and 131 to 135mph in the 1/4.

It runs the same time with an 8* timing swing. It did not respond to timing in anyway. I didn't get a chance to read the plugs as I was working on a slick track. I made a pass on 28* timing and 36* timing and no change.

Looks like a pretty solid truck. Just curious, did you try 32* of timing?

Have you ever had the tuck on a dyno with wideband capabilities?

You're going to BUY a dyno? I meant just rent one for dyno time. What I was getting at, it that is what I would do in your situation. You will find out REAL quick if the truck is running lean or rich, and in your case, I would almost bet rich. Then you will also be able to see for a fact if putting timing in it is adding or losing power.

Didn't even see that haha.

OP you need to get that thing on a dyno and get a sheet to see where your power levels are and if it's bogging at all.

My 60' is way low. 1.62 6.99 @ 99.99 1/8. I should be low 1.50's high .40's on my 60' and looking for 6.40's at 107 to 110mph in the 1/8.
