cage question?

Will a six point cage eliminate the need for sub-frames? Also, does anyone know how much lighter chromoly is over the mild-steel?

Yes a weld in six point will eliminate the need for subs and the chromely saves about 25 pounds over mild steel.

I would not delete the subframes. We tie our bars into the subframes for rigifity and safety. I personally would not install a bar without subframes. They arent that heavy.

My understanding is that chromoly is 1/3 lighter?

Figure a 6 pt mild steel is 90lbs Madman?

A 6pt is about 90lbs. It is lighter and stronger.

Madman, your saying you take another piece of bar and connect the cage to the subs through the floor or you just continue the cage longer through the floor to the subs?
