Traction street vs strip Ok so my friend and I are having an argument. He is claiming that with street tires there is more traction on the street than on a drag strip. He has driven on both and unless there is some misterious factor I'm missing strip will have more traction than the street right? If anything just cause of smoothness or imperfections in the road

Street tires at the track, go around the water box and just do a 1-2 sec spin to clean the tires off.... that will be your best traction possible on street tires. VHT + rubber + smooth.
