Default 60' help

6 speed car. Turbo 6.0 probably around 550rwhp at 8psi. My best 60' is 1.62 on koni shocks and Strano springs with a 26" et drag. I recently installed Viking front coilovers and rear shocks with stock springs. My best 60' with the same tire is right about the same with a 1.65. Am I limited by the 26" tire being its a 6 speed? I would have thought upgrading my shocks and springs to a more drag specific setup would help my 60' I run a 3.50 gear and using the 26" tire I'm running thru all 4 gears. Would moving up to the 28" mt et drag help my 60'? I would only be using 4th for a short time versus using all of it. I guess it doesn't matter since it's the same number of shifts? Any advice?

We took a slow motion video off he launch. The cars suspension looks like it's working good. Front comes up quickly. I know slicks spin but I think they may be spinning more than they should. Not enough give in the side wall of a stiff side wall 26" slick to hold the power? This is where I think the 28" might help me out.

To me the 60' you're running seem pretty great. Being a M6, I'd think you really can't load up the turbo at the line like a auto?

Try making shock adjustments, suspension could be too soft and loose. My car picked up .15-.2 in 60' just by tightening the front shocks 2 clicks and slowing the speed the front end rises. Try tightening up the rear suspension to get the tires to plant harder and not spin as much. If you're not running out of gear then you should be able to make it all work on 26" tire.

I can try that, Rob. When I was at the track I was adding more rebound to front and rear to help transfer the weight. I didn't try upping compression instead of rebound to slow and stiffen up the suspension.

Upping the compression will help only help IF the extension is too soft. But the energy has already been lost at that point and you'll probably start to get into a spin.

What psi do have the 26's at? I run mine at 10psi cold. After a run they are at 12-12.5. Then I go down from there.
Stick cars over 3k lbs. will benefit with a stiff sidewall slick. Many heads up stick shift classes run them.

Can you post the video?
