yeehaaa.....

took the 02 Z06 out for the second time. Car is bonestock with 700 miles on clock. Weather was 70, 30.10 baramoter, 50% hum. Cooled car to 155 coolant temp and lowered rears to 24 psi:

60ft... 1.934
330... 5.279
1/8.... 8.020
mph.. 90.22
1000. 10.329
1/4... 12.283
mph.. 114.29

I'm getting closer to the 11's. My previous best is in the sig. If we can get one more cold day down here in Houston with a real high baramoter and no headwind, I think I can bust one off. I've got 7 total runs under my belt now and I'm really improving in the 60ft area.

Come on down Canadian High!!

Good job Jeff, have you started shifting higher than 4500 rpm now? Hahaha! You should be shifting just under the rpm-limiter for best results.

See you at dyno-day Saturday! Have that car clean, I want some pictures of it

yes Tony, I've already acquainted myself with the rev limiter

There is absolutely no buffer like the Cobra. If I get near 6500, it lets me know in a hurry. In fact, I'd swear that thing is set at more like 6475.

Well, anyhoo, see you Saturday.

And btw...I changed my oil this past Sunday with around 820 on the odometer; that crap was DIRTY for Mobil One Sythetic! I also picked up a magnetic plug from Allen Samuels for like $2.53. I would have never guessed a Vette part would be so cheap!

Mighty impressive, Jeff. 11's are right around the corner, no doubt. When are you going to start modding the Z06, and what type of mods will you be performing?

Now that I have my tuning issues sorted out, I will probably be taking the VOBRA down to HRP for its maiden voyage with the blower. I am hoping for 12.5's at 115 mph.

Are you kidding? Your car would walk all over mine, as I have a feeling that it will take more than just one trip to the track for me to learn how to drive a 420 rwHP car efficiently.

sounds good Jahel

let me know when you're going to HRP, I'd love to see it run and we'd probably stack up well as a grudge match
