New LS1
My question is: The owner's manual says it needs 500 miles on it to be broken in. Does GM realize how many 1/4 miles this is. It is going to take me forever to get it broken in. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Seriously, I would appreciate some recommendations on break-in before I start racing? What is working for others?
By the way, some guy that goes by 2Quick4u says this is the best LS1 sight in the world. Of course I think he is some TN redneck. What can he possibly know. Just kidding J.L. TN has some of the best hotrodders in the world. If you don't believe it, just ask us.
The most power you will get out of the car though will start to take place around 7000-10000 miles....car really picks up then
This post really probably belongs in the LS1/LS6 engine tech section, but I have a sneaking suspicion why you put it here <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0"> .
I think I first raced mine when it had about 400 miles on it, maybe less, can't remember, too long ago. But like BigBos says, after 7-10K she will really pick up.
