Default Glide or Th350? LY6 240sx

Alright have a 90' Nissan 240sx Coupe.

Have been back and forth with setups for a while. Figured I'd post.

At first I was convinced I wanted a s475 L33 5.3 setup. But now think a 58x LY6 cam only setup on spray might be a good way.

I figure the LY6 with cam might be 440 or so whp. (Max effort, correct me if I'm wrong) and then 175 or so shot (100/75 dual).

Going to have to 5 lug convert with Q45 differential between 3.69 or 3.54 final gear to hold power. But with a glide long gear I feel I can keep 4 lug with a J30 with 3.91 final.

My guess is car will weigh about 2450 when done. Ridiculous weight reduction. I myself weigh 300 lbs.

So given the info.... Would you glide or th350?

Dont worry about asking street the car. I want best track setup for the situation.

Thanks in advance guys,
-Hippo

Just trying to see if the car makes enough power for a glide to be worth it.

Nobody? lol

what are you going to do with the car? (race only, street/strip how fast? etc etc)

radials or slicks?

It's going to be trailered mostly. But will drive down to the local meets etc. from time to time. No real highway cruising etc.

28 x 10.5 x 15 Hoosier bias ply slick with no tube.

TH350 if you're going slick... you can get aggressive on the starting line ratio and it will be OK even on marginal tracks.

With a 3200 lb car and 850 hp the glide worked good for me. No crazy bumper dragging and consistent on different track conditions. It usually drove straight as an arrow.
