Rachet shifter
The shift interlock can be ignored - just be sure to leave it in the 'unlock' position (LOL <img src="gr_emb.gif" border="0"> ), there are three circuits attached to the shifter
- Neutral safety
- Reverse lamps
- Hatch release
The B&M shifters come with micro-switches for the neutral safety and reverse lamps and it's just a matter of connecting to the correct wires. The hatch release can be connected to with the neutral safety or jumped so it works all the time, no matter the selector position. Electrical box? Hmmm...where? Directly rearward of the shifter, kind of under the cup holder? That's the SIR (airbag) trigger, don't mess w/ it.
You'll also have to hack up the center console a bit. I'm not particularly happy w/ mine, so I may wind up redoing it, but here are some pictures.

I'm running a TH400. Not sure how it would work with a 4L but I'm sure it can be made to somehow
