If it hops on a nitto its possible to bust the rear really fast that way. I think thats why I went through so many rears when I had 100% stock suspension.
You won't get axlehop on the slicks, but the initial shock of that convertor could rip the teeth right off the gears.
Honestly Joey, anything could happen. I would leave it on a nitto just to get a good baseline number.
BOOOM
on a more serious not id say you should just flash it off the line and see what happens
i know u said it wont brake torque up that much cuz the brakes are bad

I do a full quick spin the water... Then pull to the front of the water box... I keep the car in 2nd, and then click into 3rd, and hold it just a little bit. 3rd doesn't have as much tq... I don't want to sit there in 3rd with the engine doing 6000 rpms...

The trick IMO is to do a good burnout like I outlined...
If you don't have both tires equally wet, you can get wheelhop (break an axle) or one tire fire (burn up the posi clutches).
With my technique I cut consistent 60 ft times... within .02 of each other.
People tend to put it in 3rd and what happens is that you just heat up your engine, and don't get as good of a burnout. 2nd has more torque multiplication... Ever watched a 3.23 gear car doing a burnout, shifts too soon to 3rd, and the tires start to bog. Car goes sideways... That is also bad.
Click into 3rd and do a low rpm rollout, otherwise the shock can also hurt the rearend.
Do the burnout like he says and just take it easy on the first run or two...

PSJ, are you goin' down to US 41 with everyone Sunday? If so, maybe you could set out Joe a few like you 2 discussed just for *****... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
Or is the car still at Izzo's awaiting Brian's tuning?
I no longer trust folks to spot me in the water box, that's when I started doing the one quick spin one of the tires and pulling forward.
