Need your help/opinion Hi All,
See my 6 speed Camaro SS modifications in my signature.
Right now, the car is lowered and I am running Convo Pro wheels with 235/60/15 MTD Radials because the car is currently lowered.
I am thinking about putting the stock springs back on the car in the rear and getting some 15x10 Weld RTS Wheels with 295/55-15 MTD Radials.
Right now with only about 6 passes on the 235 tires, I am running 11.9@118mph while hitting the end of the quarter mile at 6500 rpm. I do not remember the 60' time right now, i will have to look to see but, i think it was 1.9 or so. The car hooked on the 11.9 run and bogged while launching at 4000 RPM.
So my question, how will 295 affect my time and do you think i will run out of gear with the 295? Thanks

What size wheels and tires are you running on your camaro's?

275/50/15 on both cars ,ET Street R .On the last test n tune of the year I ran 11.41 with the 275 and switched to a 295 and went 11.49. I am switching my car to the 28x11.5x15 ET Street R bias ply for this season. I switched trans to a TH 350 and now I am trapping around 6550 with the 275 and I am looking to drop that some. They don't make the ET Street r in 295. I am looking for consistency for bracket racing and I think the bias will help some although the radials were good to me (1.50 60).
i recommend a bias ply for a M6, comming from experience here i started off with drag radials and could never get under a 1.9 60 switched to mt et streets and now im down to a 1.5 sixty launching at 4500rpm. I have 3.90s and trap 128mph with 26 inch tall tires. I run 26x11.5 mt et streets and the good thing about them is they grow as you go down the track so they end up being about a 27 or more inch tall tire. you might want to try a 28 if the 26 is running out of gear but definetly go bias ply.
