Unfortunately in this world nothing is guaranteed. We have been running solid mounts on aluminum blocks for years with no problems.
Obviously the best way is to motor plate the cars and I am working on that next but these mounts will be safe for aluminum.

Wondering if throwing one under the mount will solve the infamous y pipe banging. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
I would think either side would work. Whether the motor is pulling or pushing on a solid mount would seem to make no difference.

Does the trans mount come with the mounts? Just say this cause I thought you were supposed to use a solid trany mount when using solid motor mounts. Just thinking outloud.

Either side should work...
The idea is to keep vibration to a minimum while simulating the job of a torque strap. Compromise some would call it.

Just a thought Guys,
Been Drag Racing for over 25 years now, we only ever used solid mounts on Street-Strip cars on the left side, your drivers side, as it pulls on the mount, which is what you want for torque transfer if only using one mount. Otherwise use both. <img border="0" alt="[Burnout]" title="" src="graemlins/burnout.gif" />
