28x14.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pro anybody using it? looking at the specs, im pretty sure it will fit. was going to run a 28x12.5 Et Drag, but these are about the same size and it would be nice to be DOT legal when im on the street. any thoughts?

Re: 28x14.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pro The part # for the 28x14.5 is 17610. This tire will not fit a 4th gen without serious inner wheel well mods (mini-tubs). The #17605 28x13.5 will fit with some minor "hammer tubing" though. We will have more of these in stock by Wed. Hope this helps.

Re: 28x14.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pro the tires i ran last year had a 10.0 tread width and 11.7 sidewall width, on a 15x10 with 7.5bs. the 28x14.5 QTPs have 12.0 tread and 13.1 sidewall. im switching to a 6.5bs, so that should allow me to run a 2" wider sidewall without having to modify the inner wheelwell anymore, so i would think with only a 1.4" wider sidewall it should fit fine, if not better than my current tires. sound right? i have done a LOT of hammering/grinding/cutting on the inside of the tire.

Re: 28x14.5 Hoosier Quick Time Pro the switch from 7.5 to 6.5bs will move the tire OUT 1 inch. and with a 1.4" wider sidewall, the tire should only extend off the inside of the wheel .7" farther than my current slicks, so i would think the 28x14.5 QTPs on a 6.5bs would actually have more clearance than my current setup. thats why im here asking for opinions though. seems like if they could fit, some people would be running them. Jay, do you have any experience with whether or not Hoosier's listed measurements tend to be accurate? the measurements for my et drags on my 10" wheel came out exactly as listed in the catalog, to the exact tenth for both tread width and sidewall width

i remember seeing George Baxter's car with the 14.5 Hoosiers and they were HUGE, but he later changed to an ET Drag 28"x10" and solved a lot of his traction problems
