Default Alternator Options

I am looking at switching to a smaller alternator. What is the best option for a car that runs in true street, doesn't have any accessories except the alternator. The draw is minimal and was wondering if I can go from the cs144 to atleast a cs130? I would like to switch to the smaller one for mounting options (bmr/aei) as I run the taller valve covers on my current turbo build.

At least you realize your application, I laugh to myself when I see people building dedicated racecars with hardly any accesories, and they insist on using higher amp truck alternators. lol

The old 86-91 mazda rx-7's used a pretty tiny 70A Mitsubishi alternator. I've used it on many drag toys. Great alternator, never had one fail.

Used these before too if you want a 1 wire deal.

Thanks for the advice. I got the cs130d mounted so far. I am just hoping it doesn't belt walk when we are on the dyno (original problem). We put a shorter belt on it, and it seems to be doing great so far.
