Thunder Racing Shootout Suggestions...
Modified Stock limits cubes to 400ci. There are a TON of us out here now with 402-440ci setups in our street cars. These cars are closer in weight (3500 lbs) than the cars that will be dominating the "Pro" classes. The majority of 422ci setups I know of all have stock transmissions as well. I think it would be a shame not to include a class for these 10-second, fully loaded, daily drivers. No transbrakes, No 9-second cages, No racing trannys, and a reasonable "streetcar" weight of 3500 lbs please.
Also, in the "Modified Stock Poweradder" class, why is there a limit on cubes if there is no limit to how much nitrous or how much boost can be used? A 400ci motor with a 200 shot will make more power than a 422ci motor with a 100 shot. If there are no limits on amounts of nitrous or boost, I think cubes should also have a higher limit, possibly your 440ci "Pro" classes limit.
I like the fact that the "Modified Stock" classes are more like street cars (3500 lbs, manual or auto, no transbrakes, tire size limits, etc), but maybe you could open up the cube limits on the "Modified Stock Power Adder" class so those of us with big motors in daily-drivers can just add a nitrous kit to overweight hogs so we can have fun too. Or better yet, just have some weight handicaps for different motor setups.
Solid roller cam = add X lbs (easily 2 tenths over a hyd cam in the same vehicle)
Each cube over 400ci = add X lbs (100lbs = tenth? Maybe 100 lbs for each 10 cubes over?)
Lets hear some ideas. I just think it would be a shame to leave out all the VERY fast daily-drivers out here. These are the cars that people will come to see compete.

Larry, Pro Stock class will be dominated by 9-second cars. If you do not have a 10-point cage and NHRA license, it might not be a good matchup for you either.

A final note...One thing that I have learned about racing is that the fastest car doesn't always go home with the money...
