Default 2 step popping when shifting ?

I installed a lnc-2000, had the 2 step at 5500 and it popped on every shift. Is this normal ? It didn't seem to effect my times but just was wondering if this hurts anything or is it normal?
Thanks

I'm guessing this is a stick shift car? If so, you have it triggered off of the clutch switch? That is completely normal from what I have seen. Many stick shift turbo cars use this to keep the turbos spooled on the shifts

I have only seen it when you keep the gas on the floor during shifts. Then it can sound like a shotgun!

yeah its normal when you have the limiter set low, but its super annoying! but you can by pass it using a voltage to speed converter. Lingenfelter sells them. part# STOV-004
