I ran a 12.78 at 111 mph at Arroyo Secco on Saturday when it was around 100 degree air temperature. Not sure on density altitude but humidity was 45%, density was 30 in Hg. I think altitude at arroyo secco is around 4000 ft.
That was with a 2.0 60 ft stock engine with Incon Twin Turbo kit at 9 psi on 91 octane this was on Hoosier. Earlier this year ran a 12.39 at 114 on street tires with the same 60 ft as the hoosiers. Once I dial in my 60 ft times should drop closer to the 11's with no changes to boost or tuning.
That pretty good mph for you but most of its from the 60 ft time being so high. Is that with the big wheels
This is with an 4l60e, stock 3.23 and around 3900 lb race weight (ouch). I will be running this sunday in the morning dialing in the suspension and launch hopeing for 1.7 60 ft, which should get me close to my goal.

From: Gainesville, Florida # of drag strips runs: ?!?!?
times in sig were run at Moroso Motorsports Park, DA was about +72 in Feb 2002.
Usually the accepted rule of thumb for DA is every 1000 ft is a tenth of a second. This varies of course with each car and how quick they are. I've bracket raced for a while and seen my times slow down from winter air to summer air by about 3 tenths and DA around Gainesville during summer is between 2400-3200 ft.

Al, what was your race weight on those runs? And what rwhp were you at? I am going to the track next week and am hoping for some 12's on Nitto's. I could sure use your ET fronts.

McRat,
Like I mentioned, different cars have different effects. I've also never been able to run same temps at different DA, b/c you have to figure the DA of the track (125 above for Gainesville) and then the weather, and rarely will you get the same outcome and be able to make a good comparison. I'm just comparing my 2, and I run between -500 DA (January air once or twice a year) and +3500 DA (summer air). Formula usually runs 13.30s in the summer, maybe an occasional 40s pass if really hot or muggy. In fall/winter 30-40 degree air it'll run 13.0s without problem and occasionally dip a high 12 second pass. My Nova is the same thing; best et was run in -435 DA, now I'm running 3 tenths slower and about 2-3 mph worse.
