Default Which EFI system should I run with?

I briefly looked around for answers, but figured it would make more sense to ask for answers geared at my specific application.

I have a 67 chevelle I converted to a turbo 5.3. Was running a blow through carb and mad 6010. Block is studded, has arp rod bolts and yes I threw in new rings and gapped accordingly. 317 heads with good springs. Has a 76mm CBB turbo, baby cam (.560 lift, 218@.050). Running a Doug Nash trans and Magnafuel 750. Been having a hard time dialing the carb in 100%. Always either a tad lean on easy driving, or super fat under boost.

Finally decided to cave and upgrade to EFI. Looking at standalone systems and considering the Fitech ultimate ls system, obviously pending that I can laptop tune it. There is that option, just wonder how much tuneability there actually is. I know it is entry level on some aspects. The other idea is to go with a megasquirt and harness from sloppy mechanics, however I would need to get an intake, throttle body and rails. Lastly, I also would consider getting a harness made and getting hp tuners, as I do want to do more tuning on other vehicles I have. I am not a pro tuner, however been doing a lot of research and obviously have quite a bit of experience in the carb world.

I will need a 2 step, no matter what I do. The car is a street car and I will not cage it, as it was my first car that I bought when I was 14. I know I'm making over the top power for what the car is limited to at the track. Regardless, I still want to cut good 60'. Shakedown runs with the car ran 12.0@117 with a 1.87 60' on a very very conservative and slightly fat tune. I know I can safely make 600rwhp with knock sensors, and that is my goal with injection.

Looking for opinions as to any recommendations/experience. Leaning toward the megasquirt, as I will never outgrow it. Still need an intake setup though. Thanks in advance

I'm a fan of megasquirt, and most of my projects run it. The Ms3 line of firmware has come leaps and bounds and is on par with much larger names in the business

Diy auto tune sells the ms3pro with plugnplay LS harness's, you can look into the Ms3 based gold box as well which does a harness

Have you also looked into the Holley system? I have no direct experience with it currently but I am considering it in the near future. It seems many people like it along with the mega setup. And a few others use the bs3

For something like that, yeah the Holley system would be very nice and is affordable.
