Heater core removal for !weight
my questions are:
1) during removal will it affect anything dealing with the AC?
2) other than the heater core itself anything else heater related to be removed? (like the wiring to the control bezel?
3) for those who have done this, how much was weight was removed and does it make sparl plug and valve spring changes alot easier? i would imagine so )
im looking at my haynes manual and it looks fairly simple to remove and mentions discharging the AC but i dont see why? if i need to put it back in it looks fairly simple.
NO flames on removing this please

...but since you've removed the AC, how hard was that?

Very easy. Just pull the compressor (2 bolts?), and unbolt the lines that go back to near the heater core, pull out the receiver-dryer (is that what it's called?), cap off those connectors. Probably take about 30 minutes if you really took your time. It's been awhile so I might've forgotten something...

i removed the condensor, accumulator, and the compressor along with the belt which is no longer needed. and the lines that run back to the black box (WHAT IS IT?) am i suppose to remove this black box and how? is it the receiver-dryer thing ur talking about? the heater core is behind the glove compartment right? so that shouldnt be it or is it?
thx
