Default Are Upper and Lower A arms worth it?

The title says it all. Ive searched it and not much is out there for drag racers, there is some for Autox. Basically im on the verge of getting a tubular K member and curious if i should go the next step further and get the upper and lower A arms with it. Maybe just the lower? dont bother and wait for down the road?

Depends on what you are doing. Swapping out stock to put something aftermarket in with rubber or poly joints, no it isn't really worth it. Is it for weight savings, the uppers not really but the lowers yes some weight can be saved. Even for alignment reasons they are not really needed at least not the uppers.

The biggest advantage to uppers and lowers is by going with all heim joint connections and a bearing lower shock mount instead of a T-bar so the front suspension can move free with out bind.

I am debating them too. I like to be able to drive the car anywhere and I have done 10-13 hours trips with it. I heard NVH gets much worse through the steering wheel. Then again I have spent a lot just to lose a few pounds here and there.

Thats what i was thinking too. Im willing to get lower for its added benefits, but the $300+ for the upper A arms seems a lot for not to many advantages. Especially since im on a budget

I do not care about price. I like that they are lighter. I just want feedback from DD users

I noticed a difference at the track with the way the car launches.. The car transferred weight much better with the tubular uppers and lower.. As far as the uppers go, I changed them to tubular because I needed ball joints and they take the bolt in style.. The upper ball joints also sits at a slightly different angle on the tubular ones too to help un-bind the suspension..

I like my lowers, it seems like the weight transfers better. I wouldnt run a hiem end on a DD though. I would prefer the lower maintenance/higher reliability of rubber.
