Default Summit ET Points Leader....What a Night!

This year is my first in the Summit series bracket racing. I wasn't sure quite what to expect, but knew the car was consistent. I won both friday night NHRA 10.90 index races this year and came away with nice trophies. But tonight was different, it was my first time up against the best of the best around here. I'm running in the Sportsman Pro class and really didn't expect to run so consistent both on the tree & car itself. I took out two former Pro champions in the same night on my way to the first ET points win of my career and the first event of the year.

I was the first to run my exact dial-in at 11.00 and took home the "pick the pocket" $20 purse. Sportsman Pro paid $300 which sure will help with future mods. I would consider it the best win of my career and easily the most gratifying. Even beating Terry couldn't compare.

I set a couple new bests as well. A 1.47 60ft. and a best MPH of 125.00! Unfortunately I didn't get them in the same pass and I only made a couple full passes and the DA was around 2000ft most of the night, but 2600ft. during the day. In eliminations, the interesting thing is that the car ran 98MPH in the 1/8 every pass, three 6.955's in the 1/8th, and three 7.0's. Because I was bracket racing, my runs weren't all the same on the big end, but still ran 10.94, 10.96, 10.99, 11.00, 11.04, 11.04, 11.06, and 11.1.

The 26X10X15 Hoosiers hooked consistently, 60ft's all ranging between 1.47 & 1.53.

Hopefully I can keep this trend going and put some cash away for a big "9 second" motor. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
