A4 Guys....Inside ---->>>
As you can see from my horrible 60' time, I can't get any traction. Since this is my daily driver I'm not going to buy Nitto's or anything else. Question: should I roll into the launch and then mash away once I have traction? I've been punching it from about a 1500rpm brake torque.
When I had the 2.73 gear in I would run the local 1/8 track with it in 2
Screw the od though I have heard some say they run better with it in od.

Lane, that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm in third gear (D) at about 6,000rpms 100 feet before the line. That why I'm saying I think I might get a little more out of it if it shifts again. I don't want to tear up the tranny though.

I know your're in D, but do you know for sure your car is in 3rd? If it does have 3.23's, that sounds like the 2-3 shift that you're talking about, not a 3-4...
No where near the 6000 that U are claiming !
And yes, I'm positive they are 3.23 gears.
She burns out, rolls to the line and then
stages & floors it.
Should she be in "D".
I didn't think it made any difference?????
she runs 12.5s@107 with 1.78 60ft times.

With 3.23's you should be like around 5400 or something right gentlemen...

That's exactly where I am. I have a Vig3200, but that shouldn't make a difference huh?
Anyone know where 3.42's would put me?
Suppose I am hitting 4th in the 1/4 mile. You said I'd "have a problem". What sort of problem?
Like I said though, I'll let you guys know for sure soon. I'm dying to get back to the track anyway. This give me a good reason!
Also why would it matter that you are in D or OD, I always leave mine in OD and it run's just fine, I have never tried it in D though, next time i will try it for the heck of it
