Default What to get? Need tranny

Well i am looking for a new tranny to kind of make my car a everyday driver again. I have a Th350 in the car now i and i kind of gets out on long drives(over 25 miles) SO what should i get the car was a 6 speed car in the first place. Then i went to a 4L60e i am not going back to one of those. Should i go 4l80e.
What 60ft are 6speed guys pulling?
How much power can they handle?
4L80e how good would this be for a track and everyday driver.

Car is Heads cam car on a 150 shot And car race weight is around 3300. With complete suspension. Whats every ones input.

you can build a good m6 setup, just takes some money like anything else.

I have:
D&D performance T56
spec stage 3i clutch
Denny's nitrous DS

it handles anything i throw at it and then some, and i mean anything.

nothing like a killer six speed setup IMO.

I was TH400 last year, hated it. best thing i ever did was go back M6.

if you want an overdrive A4 i would not go electronic at all, why bother with having to swap wiring harness and then have to deal with programming shift points.

go with a 2004r manual valvebody with a lockup and transbrake and be done with it, or go M6!! haha.

Well if i went A4 i would get a 4l80e with manuel valve body and a switch for lock up so i dont have to do the electronics of it. The only thing on my mind about putting a 6 speed back in my car is at the track i always see them having more issues as in launching the same from track to track or on diffrent nights.

well you are correct. but that can be made up for with suspension.

my car low 1.5's every time on a 26" et street only, but that is because i have the suspension to do it and know how to use it.

you are right in saying that mod for mod an A4 is easier to sixty foot hard with less money in suspension, but for my car its not an issue as i have everything.

There you go again, hopping on the 6speed wagon again You make it so tough for a guy to put a TH400 in the car, haha.

I'd go to a 6spd with a two step and get your suspension sorted out. I think like sean said, it would be more enjoyable, and nothing like looking at a car that cuts killer times with a 6speed.
