Default Upper Panhard bar

Any difference if you remove it?
Weight savings?
I have a BMR adj.(lower).I was looking at it yesterday and was
wondering if it serves a purpose, cuz I don't miss the front swaybar.
Thanks

From readings, the panhard bar is used for lateral support. Some people take the bar off for track purposes to save weight and experience no major problems doing this. But for me, I would not do this. As a matter of fact, I intall an aftermarket bar, Hotchis. Somebody else needs to chime in and give more details because my data is general and conversation. Hopes this helps.

Throw that thing in the trash, its useless. The lower one is a must, of course.

I have the upper out, and I installed a non-adjust Hotchkiss lower PHB. It was 5-8 lbs, but I removed it because I may run dual exhaust back there at some point. My duals terminate in front of the rearend right now.

This is the one that cuts across on an angle, right?

Does removing it affect handling at all?

please nobody get the wrong idea and remove their panhard bar.

what they are referring to is the panhard bar brace (part of the chassis) to strengthen the load point of the panhard bar. it is not a moving part of the suspension so it can be removed without altering ride, though i would reinforce the phr mounts with something else if this is to be removed.
