Default Need 2-4 tenths, suggestions please...

The weather was amazing when I ran that 13.2, and on a decent day I run around 13.3-13.4 and all of those runs are at 105.5 or so. I'd like to consistenly be in the 12s, and have around a 7.9 or lower 1/8 mile time. I'm figuring a converter is my best bet but I don't know that I'll have the funds for it, and even if I did get one, I wouldn't have money for tires (although I'm sure I could borrow some locally). Regardless, mods on the 13.2 run are as follows, and current/coming mods will be listed to gauge if I will lose any ET over than 13.2.

13.2 run: Direct Flo, K&N, Cutout, 2.73 gears, FRA, !EGR, !Spare and Jack

Additions and Coming mods: BMR STB, poly/rubber tubular LCAs with reloc. brackets, APHR, Eibach Pro Kit springs, Bilstein HD shocks, about 150 lbs. of sound deadening and stereo equipment, Raptor hood with heat extractors and functioning ram air setup, either some Kumho Ecsta 245 tires for stock wheels or possibly some 17" wheels with some 275 Kumhos, 3.42 gears

I know the suspension stuff isn't helping traction but the stereo stuff in the back will benefit a little there, although the added weight will hurt some once I get moving. I'm figure 1.5 tenths slower than 13.2 with the added weight, but I'm hoping the 3.42s will negate that by gaining me back that 1.5 tenths over my 2.73s. I'm thinking a lid v/s the ram air will be about the same so no loss there. I'm hoping the car will be about the same as it is now after all the mods, so I don't know what else I can do to drop 2-4 tenths consistently. I know a converter will do it, and I'm SOOOO SERIOUSLY wanting one, but I just don't think it's in the budget for me this summer. Anyways, I doubt there is anything I can do for under $500 short of nitrous that will get me my 12s, but I'm open to suggestions. And if money allows, I'll be getting a ST3500 for sure so I'll have my 12s then. Are there any lesser or cheaper converters I could use that woudl give me the gain I'm looking for, or possibly buy a used one (not sure how realible used converters are though). Anyways, thanks for any help.

If you are really serious about 12's, drop most your mods above. Go with the LCA, SFC, PHR and than your converter. Watch are ask on the sponsor section for a group purchase. The Nittos are good street/strip tires, but BFG are better strip only tires.

Go with suspension mods, converter, and rear-end. You'll have 12's.

A nice TNT set-up with get you 12's in a heart beat <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
