Default Taking the Stripe

Do our cars hit the finish line beam with the nose, air dam, or the tires? The air dam on mine sits at 4-5" from the ground but I'm not sure how high it is under power.

Search "Stripe Taker". I run one. It must be 3.5 off the ground. It can be a sly little trick, dumping the nose in the beams when someone is watching your tires.

Unfortunately I don't have the experience you have to be trying tricks.
I always seem to be taking too much stripe.

It could give you a more consistent way of tripping the beams. If you are on the brakes trying not to take to much you might be dipping the front of the car.

Does yours attach under the bumper or to the front of the air dam?

My first time bracket racing my 02 camaro resulting in quite a few breakouts from getting on the brakes and tripping the beams with the front air deflector on the radiator support. I took it off and made a stripe taker and mounted it under the front bumper cover. Seemed to help if you know how to use it to your advantage!
