Rod/Rod, Poly/Poly or Poly/Rod?

I know poly binds (but from what I understand thats mostly a road racing concern)

I know rods can be more harsh and make noise (but how much?)

I have heard poly/rod can be a compromise...

Does anyone have strip evidence of one being better than the other? Beyond centering the wheel under the car does anyone even have evidence of better ET's over rubber??

Thanks

Just went to the track last night with these new Hoosier DD2 radials.
e-bay sub frame connectors/polly adjustables work just fine and there quiet as a mouse.
It all hooked solid with a 1.52 60ft and I was easy on the throttle with 20 psi cold pressure. Should do 1.4's with ease!

I went 1.50 60' with stock springs and all poly non adjustable UMI rear suspension, non adjustable qa1 tq arm and single adjustable qa1 rear shocks. Just Changed over to viking coilovers, all rod end heim jointed double adjustable mwc suspension parts. Haven't been at a track to compare yet.

I go 1.29 on UMI poly/roto joint. I would have no problems running poly/poly if it weren't for the spool. I drive the car. Always get adjustable.

It's hard to give a concrete answer. What bothers one guy might be no big deal to the next.
I personally run rod ended everything on the rear of my car, and am not bothered at all by the slight clunkiness.

Yeah I definitely agree. Figured it was worth a shot to see what the “majority” would say.

Thanks for the replies!

I've had rod/rod for a while and don't think I've ever heard them rattle.

I just switched from all poly/poly to heim/heim from MWC when I got the new Fab 9. It definitely transmits more noise and vibration into the passenger compartment, but it's not unbearable. My wife doesn't like it though. It definitely comes down to your own sensitivity. If it's primarily a street car that is driven often I would go poly/rod adjustable. I only put 500-1000 miles on my car a year, and I can deal with more of a race car ride. I actually think it's cool 😀

I drive mine daily with a MWC 9" and full suspension. ARB disconnected and it can be pretty annoying, but I live in DC and the roads are absolute garbage. It really depends on where you drive it. When I'm outside of the city or on the highway I hardly notice it. I probably put 500 miles on the car a month.
