Need lightweight hood info... Who makes the lightest bolt-on fiberglass hood?
Will I need new 'pistons' or springs for it?
I don't care about cowl size.Stock is fine.It just needs to be light.

You should be able to use your stock equipment with just some different struts.

Re: Need lightweight hood info... Sean, VFN is in Addison near Street Stuff. Glasstek is in the same complex as FLP.
I think the reduction would be about 20 lbs if you go to a stock appearing bolt'on hood. I think you can continue to use your stock hood struts but I'm not sure.

2 weeks to make it.He said it weighs 15-20#.
then I could take out the latch assembly.

in there.I should save ATLEAST 80#.Around 3030 racweight.at the heaviest.
