Window tint
For people racing on test and tune nights does the nhra no window tint rule come up much? I've been to tracks and seen blacked out cars some nights and cars turned away other nights. I was hoping to get some insight on it before I go to the tint shop.

I honestly didn't know it was a rule, I've been drag racing my tinted cars across various tracks in PA and NJ since 2006 without it ever coming up. I would assume it will be track dependent as some tracks I've been too have techs and crew that are more lax than others. If you are worried about it perhaps don't go too dark on the tint. I've had various levels of tint over the years and my go-to nowadays is 35%. A nice look but not dark enough to make it overly difficult to see out of the windows at night in dark places, bother the cops too much, etc.

From the NHRA 2018 Rule Book General Regulations: "In all Mello Yello Drag Racing Series and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series vehicles, windshields and/or windows must be clear, without tinting or coloring, except factory-tinted safety glass. In all other applications, windshield/window tint must meet the applicable state requirements.
