Default Best budget auto trans?

I am looking for something to put behind a 700 hp ls 5.3 turbo build. Trying to keep things on the less expensive side while holding together down the track. Thinking a used th400 or a power glide. Any other suggestions? Car is a fox body mustang and will possibly be driven on the street to and from track, but it doesn't have to be comfortable as the strip is close.

I am sure people will disagree but my vote is glide. One shift, super simple trans, light weight. After riding in a turbo glide setup sold me right away.

Glide or a th400- aftermarket case if possible save the headache of the shield, fits easier, etc.
