Water Methanol and Bracket Racing
The injection setup is to control edge cases during a run where your on the edge between gears etc.
Running methanol as your fuel is a different game, totally different tune, and performance envelope for the motor.
E100 is still a full alcohol fuel, but easier to obtain and pump available in a lot of areas and distribution is via fuel companies (Mostly).
Methanol is classed as a chemical and is handled by chemical supply houses.
Methanol allows for high compression, like way north of 15:1 if done right.
It drops head temps by a lot,, 20 to 30 percent vs race gas.
You have to clear and back bleed the fuel system when leaving a Methanol car parked, or it will destroy any aluminum part its touching.
Methanol absorbs water, if you allow it to evaporate in the system, it will leave white crystals behind
that will attract water and cause a pit at each spot its touching the aluminum.
Sprint cars and some go carts run it. Search the dirt track forums.
You take a serious power hit running a carb with METH vs Fuel injections (See Kinsler..
