1/8 th mile times

1/8 th mile times I took my stock Z28 to the local track last night and ran a best of 9.06. I couldn't get any traction with the junk tires that I've got. Is this a good time for a bone stock A4 car? What did you guys run when your cars were stock?
Re: 1/8 th mile times I didn't run my car stock, but a friend of mine has a 99' Z and with 2.73 gears it pulled 8.86. With lid, filter, and 3.73's it runs 8.55. Yours should have a little more in it depending on your MPH and 60' time. The first 60' is was makes or breaks a run. With an auto it is just keep it straight and hold on once you get it off the line. Hope this helps.

My Hot Rod completely stock ran 9.03 in the 1/8 with 200 miles on her. At 600 miles it was on,(Mods) only because the shop could not get me in any sooner. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />

the best i saw on stock tires was 8.69 bone stock
average 8.8's
on a crappy track with no traction you could easily be in the 9.0's
try a different track this fall and i bet your et's drop alot

At the 1/4 mi tracks I've been to I dont think I've ever been greater than 9.00. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
Post all the numbers on your timeslip, I'm interested to see your 60' and 8th mph.

I just couldn't get it to hook up at all. I'm running on some cheap Discount Tire brand tires. That will be changing very quickly though.

course that was on nittos with a 2800 vig but still.

1/8 mile 8.8 sec is the best. 9.0 sec is my constanst time. it might be the track. i race at crappy track. the only time they prep good is when 4 and 5 sec cars r there. my car spins like hell. i'm bone stock with magna flow cat-back and k@n filter
