i need combo opinions
i need combo opinions here is what i want to do... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> i am looking to buy a 98-02 (more than likley a 98)with an auto tranny. i want to go low 11s on the motor, and good tires. <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" /> here is what i was thinking: car free mods, w/PT4400, MTI lid, 3.73 gears (10 bolt), LT headers, ory pipe, and cat back exhaust w/cut out. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> i figure with some tuning it could work. what do you all think? what would you do? i want to go low 11s and be able to drive it daily and a big stalls doesn't bother me at all.

You will need at least a cam, tuning, and weight reduction to run maybe low 11.00's. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
I have a 2002 Z28 Hot Rod that runs low 11.30's and I have done just about every Mod you can do to one of these things.(LS1 346 cubic inches) <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />
I can still do more weight reduction.(Power streeting, A/C, passenger side air bag,little weight battery,remove the tracksion controll off, remove the cruise controll and thats about it). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" />
All the above will be done this winter or maybe before Nov.2:burnout:

Re: i need combo opinions in all reality i want to go 11.7's or 11.8's with the above mentioned mods. low 11's would be nice but i am not gutting the car. i am going to have to drive the thing everyday.
Re: i need combo opinions i want to go mid to high 11s with as little mods as possible. i want the motor mostly stock save for exhaust and the such. i dont have the money for heads and cam swaps. when i go that route i will set the car up for low 10s and go big with a 422 or some thing along those lines. i can only do what my wallet allows me as of now. it just takes a high 11 to be repectable on the street here.
