The "Other Car" is King of the Mountain!!!! We carried the Mustang to Lassiter Mountain Dragway and ran in a 10.5 Outlaw race. We qualified in the bottom half (9th) of a 16 car field due to a defective micro switch and a 300ft wheelstand but manage to work out the problems as we went. Every round we got the car better with the last three passes being in the 5.43, 5.43 and 5.44. Even though we were a little slower than the other cars we ran, in every round Jeff kept us in the hunt with sub .420 lights with two being sub .410. In the final it was Jeff all the way with a 5.43 @ 132.02 spinning across the finish line.
Needless to say we were happy campers on the way home.

Re: The "Other Car" is King of the Mountain!!!! Theirs nothing like going round after round, trying to keep lane choice.... The feeling of the competition is something that I can't explain. I know some of the people on this site is only interested in time slips and posting those times on the internet and I guess that is a competiton in it's self but their is no way it can be remotely as satisfying as head to head competition when the first one to cross the finish line is the winner.

Jeff drives the car and tells me what he feels and hears and and after a short discussion we make changes to the car for the next round.
We have two more guys that help.... it's a team effort. The car requires a good bit of between round work. All the plugs come out after every pass.... gas is added every pass... nitrous bottles changed.... it's us against them!!!
