Default Help me hook it up!!

I am looking for what poeple are doing to get traction on the street and at the track. On the street so far I get so real bad wheel hop. This is on a bridgestone potenza 275/40/17 with 28psi. sometimes it just spins them and other times it hops. it seems to hop when it gets better traction. this on hp haven't used the N2O yet. I have a set of 16/26/10 et streets for the track. any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rich

i see you have a 9" so lca relocation brackets are not an option.

what TQ arm are you running and what do you have the pinion angle set at?

I have bmr weld on lac relocation brackets. I have them installed in the first hole down from the stock location. It still has one more hole to go but with the stock lac's with no adjustment it will put the tire/rear end housing too far foreward the tires already rub just slightly. I am unsure what the pinion angle is? Speed inc. set it for me. It is a bmr ajustable torque arm the one that bolts to the trans not the sever duty. I noticed that the bump stops were hitting the housing and i removed the 1/2" spacer to get a little more travel. I have some 94 6cyl. springs installed right now. Maybe they are too soft? Open to all suggestions without mini tubing it. Thanks Rich

The car has gone 1.60 in 60' with E.T. streets 26x10x16 and bfgdr's(17/275/40) stock motor on the bottle out of the hole. I now have more hp on hp than before and would still like to spray the first stage out the hole with like 75 to 100 hp. Is it possible with stock size rubber? I don't really want to have to go to 28" tall tires or 15" rims with slicks. What would be a good pinion angle to start with?

Most people try that trick and it does not work. Are u sure that you are not unloading the rear springs? I would look into some LCA's and set of stocks springs if not stiffer ones. Hals would work too.

I'd check the pinion angle wheelhop sounds weird for all the parts you have.

My tq arm is at -2.5, i have heard of folks going more but I also have heard of folks breaking u-joints.

I bet you can hook the car on motor with those et streets and spray at the tree... should be fun.

Goober. I think I am unloading the rear springs. I noticed the marks from the bump stops on the rear housing. I have removed the spacers from under the bump stops to get an extra 1/2" of travel. I have hals on all 4 corners. i will put the stock springs back in. is the pinion angle -2.5 from the drive shaft angle? Thanks rich
