Traction, G-Tech, 1/4 Mile, etc...
Being such an idiot, I never tried again (I actually did, but due to certain situations and conditions I was prevented from getting any good times).
Just this Monday I got my FTRA and Whisper Lid on (I already had a K&N Filter). I thought maybe with this I could get at least anywhere from 13.00-13.20 (being hopeful!).
So just tonight, Saturday, I went out to my race night and talked to my friend with the g-tech. We went out to a secluded place and began to test my car for new times. I roasted the tires a little for some better traction on take off and began to run the 1/4 mile. The way I race is I leave the traction control on power brake and rev to about 1.0-1.5rpms (if I don't have the traction control on I just spin the tires when I take off and begin to move sideways). I then take off, but during these times I noticed I wasn't getting off immediately like I had for my 13.40. It seemed like everytime I took off the "low tread" light would come on. My first few times were real dissapointing, mostly just 13.50. We thought maybe since the place was a little bumpy and with gravel it could have effected my start off greatly.
So we went back to the place where I had got my 13.40. I roasted the tires again and began. Same things kept happening??? We tried once just taking off without revving and got a new best of 13.34. We tried the other way again, even at 1.75rpm, but no help at all.
My friends and I talked about it and thought of a few things. One thing is the K&N filter is filthy, and I should use the other I have that is very clean. The next thing I thought was maybe it was the G-tech, but they said it wasn't. My friend said that last time I had about a half on tank of gas, and this time I did it with a full tank gas and that might've had something to do with it. We checked the the tread (on my stock tires) and they are barely gone, so that wasn't it. I then thought maybe it was the computer doing something since the FTRA was on, but I don't think so. The rubber part of the FTRA wasn't on either, so we thought that might've had something to do with it. The only other logical thing we could think of was that when we had my third friend he helped weigh down the back and help the tires stick to the ground better.
One odd thing I did notice is that when I had got my 13.40 my first time it was at 118mph. One of my 1/4 mile passes this time I had gotten 13.40, but only at 110mph???
I am planning on putting 12" subs in the back, which will help weight it down a little, if that is indeed the problem.
This really pisses me off, because having this induction stuff is supposed to help me be better than stock, not slightly better, or worse!
I would really like some feedback on this, I want to try the g-tech again tomorrow and get new, BETTER times... If anyone knows the names of other purchasable devices other than the g-tech that does 1/4 mile times, please tell me that as well. Thanks, and sorry for the long-*** post!

Oh, and get to a track!
If you want times, get to a track, the Gtech sucks.
BTW, adding weight to the rear is just a band aid for traction problems. You should be trying to lose weight to go faster, not add it!

You have to be on a perfectly flat road for a g-tech to even be somewhat close.

There are completely stripped bolt on cars running 120 mph.
Rule #2- G-tech's are ricer tuning tools. Go to the track

I then went out on my own (with TCS off). I played with the car a bit and was able to get a new best of 13.21 at 111.3mph!!! It was great, I now need to practice a little more to get 13.2x consistently (I got 13.23 right after as well).
Does anyone think I might be able to get 13.19? With TCS off, should I rev up first or just go from idle? Thanks a lot.
