Are these structural? Considering removing on a car that won’t have a cage.

Thoughts?

Anybody out there? Lol. I’ve seen plenty of people remove them but only folks that went with a cage

I wouldn"t, looks like its what makes the floorboard strong, what are you planning on mounting the seat to???

I would leave them. They probably weigh a pound each, and they tie into the floor and butt up to the trans tunnel.

I would leave the floor alone, if it were me. Without a cage you are taking out the strength points built into the chassis

I hear ya... for what it’s worth I plan on going with welded subframe connectors like Midwest Chassis.

Just because the gussets are welded to the floor doesn’t mean they are necessary etc. your probably right but trying to get a definitive answer

Consider what could happen if you're in an accident or the driveshaft lets go. Those seat gussets could stop you from going through the floor. The tunnel gusset could stop the driveshaft from taking your arm off. They only get removed when fabricating a square or tube framed floor to replace the oem floor and gussets. Frame connectors will not replace what the gussets do. That is giving strength to the floor.
