Going racing August 2nd....
...and I am just looking for a few pointers.
My new setup since last year is the TR224-114, a Midwest 3500 2.0 stall, JetHot headers, Hooker ORY, V6 springs front and rear, airbag in RR, and 275/40 Nittos....full weight minus tire and jack.
Last year it went 13.10 @ 107 (2.01 60') with no headers, stock converter, LPE GT2-3 cam, and Goodyear F1s....full weight minus tire and jack. I am hoping for 12.5s-12.6s @ 107-109 mph this time with ~1.8 60'.
I tried several launches on a freshly paved backroad. The Nittos seem to like 18psi cold, and a 3-4 second burnout. Is this ok for the track? What should I set the cold psi to and what about burnout length?
Also, I am going to try to get a Transgo shift kit put in before I go. Right now I am only able to set my rev limiter to 6600 (diablo tuner)...where should I set the 1-2 and 2-3 shift points? 6300?
How much pressure should I put in the airbag? Will it benefit me since I have a totally stock suspension?
Any other tips? Weight reduction? Your thoughts....
Thanks,
Mike
