Default How big is too big?

I have a little bit of a traction problem everywhere. I have the stock tires on my 2000 trans am, and they suck. The size is 245/50/ZR16, I'm going to put the Nitto drag radials on soon, and I was wondering if anyone has tried to put 255's or higher on this size rim?

Thanks,

Nitto DRs come in the 245/60/16 size and I don't think they are available in the 255. They help a lot!

I have 255/50/16 Firestone SZ50s up front for extra cornering braking help.

You could run a 255/50/16 bfgoodrich drag radial. If you're worried about the difference in tire diameter affecting you speedo click on this link http://www.sgmotorsports.com/tiresize.htm and you can entire different tires sizes.
