The wolfe bolt-in roll bar in ILLEGAL! Just got kicked out of Ennis for it. To pass tech you have to go with 6-point WELD in cage.

what part of the cage did they flunk you on? is yours a 6 point or a 4 point bar? I will be in the market for a bar very soon and I contacted wolfe about their bars questioning items that people had said they failed tech because of, and they said that if people were failing tech, they had not brought it to their attention.
If someone is concerned with the door bars being too low, we also offer a straight style door bar.
As you all know we also offer a Weld-in version of our roll bar.
Also normally you do not have to move your NOS bottle if it is mounted in the spare tire area. But that does depend on how big of a bottle your using and how you mounted it.

Fogged, What was it they said failed? On the bolt-in the only thing we know is a grey area is where the rear bars attach to the main hoop. To be legal they must be welded (the seams where they join) to the main hoop. That is on our web site and we tell people when they ask. As far as bolting to the floor. That is legal. NHRA rule book specically states that the roll bar can be bolted to the floor with 1/8" plates top and bottom with 4 3/8" bolts.

WE designed the low slung door bar mainly for the street guys that don't care to be climbing over the bar on a daily basis. Since most people that need a 6-point are also still driving thier cars on the street quite often. So depending on your seat placement and the Track or Tech guy they could look at the low slung door bar as a close call type of thing.
We apologize for your inconvience and happy to here you have gotten everything striaghtened out.

They acted as if we didnt have a cage at all. Told us we could only run eigth mile passes or keep it below 12.0's. Oh yea, it is a six point cage.

Was this an Ennis Tech guy or one of SLP's guys? Curious.
In the NHRA rule book is is Section 4:10 under the General Regulations.
