Default ET question

Does reaction time affect the 60' and overall ET?

I have a 2002 TransAm convertable and haven't done many mods cause don't wanna give up my warranties on everything just yet. The only things I have done are:

Flowmaster cat back system
Raptor hood with air box
Hypertech programer
3.73's (big pain in the **** first set died same day I got the car back)

I went to a local track (1/8 mile) and my best time with stock tires was 8.753 and a 60' of 2.029 and a reaction of +.462 (first time taking my car to the track).....Considering i'm over 300lbs and have a stereo system in the car is this a decent time? I don't go to the track much but I know I was outrunnin new Corvettes.

Johnny,

Reaction time doesn't effect your et at all.

Keep going to the track and your times will fall. Practice is the best mod of all. IMO

Good luck to ya.
