question about top 50 lists
Us Chitowners race at 700-800 ft above sea level and most of the year race at 2500 DA weather so we keep that in mind while we look at the Texas ET's.
No one sets records in the Western US. All our best tracks are closed, and the good tracks are all high altitude.
What is important though, is who you can beat. A timeslip is just a relative thing. If you have 12.00@115 slip at -1000 DA on a 1.6 60', but can't beat a bone stock Viper or Z06 at the track, what is the slip good for but toilet paper?
We had a guy come visit from Texas who ran 12.9 at HRP on street tires. He raced with us at Carlsbad, and got a best ET of 14.1. He now has a lot of respect for 12 second bolt on Western cars.
