Roll cage or tube chassis Why do I see some cars only run 8.50 cert cages in no time drag racing even though they're running quicker than 5.35 in the 1/8th mile? Because I talk to one the national directors for NHRA and he said 5.35 is the max for an 8.50 cert cage. And plus most of them should be running a funny car cage or close to a full tube chassis with how quick they are going.
