Default 1/4 mile Times???

Made it out to the track last Wednesday for the first time since last winter. I only went a couple of times last winter and all I could sqeeze out was 13.7 @ 105 (don't remember 60'). That was on GSCs with lid/filter, FTRA, and Ripper shifter. My first time ever to race at a track I ran a 13.8 @ 104 w/ lid & filter.

Since then, I've added Hooker longtubes, ory, and catback. Also, SFCs, STB, 160* T-stas, fan switch, shift light, and a set of Nitto DRs in back. All i could muster was 13.4 @ 107 w/ 2.2 60' and .535 reaction time (open cut-out).

I realize it has a lot to do with the driver, but I'm not that bad. I was hoping to get a 13.1 @ 108! Is that too much to shoot for with my mods? And why can't I bust a good 60'? ...DAMNIT!

BTW... I drive 99 T/A

Your mph gain looks good. The 60's are keeeping you from low ET's.If you run a M6,drop tire pressure to 18psi,do a real smokey burnout and drop the hammer around 2000-2500rpm out of the hole. This should give you 1.9-2.0 60's and bring your ET down to 13.0.

Actually... I tried that! On my third/last run of the nite, I Dropped the rears to 18 psi and raised the fronts to 40 psi. I also put a ported MAF on. I held the RPMs at about 2500 and when the lights dropped, I got every bit of that launch! Unfortunately, as I grabbed for second gear, the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor! So I immediately let off...

And that was the end of my nite.

The clutch seemed fine on the 2 previous runs.

If You Drill Out The Restrictor In The Line Before The Slave Cylinder It Will Help Eliminate The Clutch Sticking To The Floor.

I disagree with reducing pressure and performing a burnout on radial tires. Keep pressure to 30-32 PSI in the rear (higher in front to reduce rolling resistance), and spin tires quickly to clean off debris. Also, drive around the water (of course).

My 60 foots on Eagle F1s are now in the 1.8X - 1.9X range.
