BMR Driveshaft safety loop welded wrong?

Default BMR Driveshaft safety loop welded wrong?

So, I have a BMR driveshaft safety loop on my car. With the 3" driveshaft I had, it fit fine. I got a new 3.5" driveshaft and it was too close for comfort, maybe 1/8" away at most, even with the loop moved all the way over in the adjustment slots. I was going to remove it and have the loop rewelded farther over, but I decided to see what would happen if I flipped it 180 degrees. Well, to my surprise it fit perfectly after flipping it. Luckily, my exhaust is only 2 1/4" ( dumped turbo with a cutout ) so it has ample room even mounting it the wrong way. Does anyone else have this loop? Does it fit correctly? I can't see any reason it would be made with the loop over so far when mounted in the "correct" orientation.

I have the same BMR driveshaft loop which was required for use with the KOOKS true dual exhaust system. I did not have an issue with the loop being out of center and don't see an issue with rotating it 180° if it centers up on the driveshaft since you're not dealing with two 3" pipes running to the back of the car.

Yeah, I figured it would work fine. I just don't know whether I have a defective loop or if my car's mounting points are that out of whack.
