skinnies for snow tires?
thanks Mike
Tirerack has some good deals on snow tire/wheel combos.
I just bought some salad shooters and dunlop winter tires.. they stick like glue
If you want snow traction, buy a set of take-off rims, and get some Blizzaks or similar snow tires for winter driving. I've seen used 16x8 rims go for under $100/4, so it's not going to break the bank. I think SLP sells 4 new takeoff rims for $200.
But don't put skinnies on the back. Unless you're driving a Volkswagen Beetle <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Or you can be a guts ball player and drive your Nitto DRs to December 24th like I did last year. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

<strong> <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> not only is that ridiculous, but skinnies wouldn't even fit on the rear <img border="0" alt="[Banging Head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" /> </strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">They do Trust Me <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" /> ..
I did it for a while cause I had a flat but I live in Texas where there is NO SNOW and it was still a scary ride. I wouldn't even consider riding them in the rain like that.
