what is wrong with my car
i want to know what is wrong. i have a 1998 trans am ws6. m6. the conditions at the track were fine. it was 64 degree and cool out and the ground was warm. i just got 315/35/17 nittos for the back and running stocks in the front. i waited about forty five minutes to let her cool down before i ran it. and then i set my nittos to 20 psi. i did a brake torque, and launched at a little below 3000 rms, and it bogged like a mother f*cker. it lauched good and then the r's dropped bad. i had 8 runs and it did it everytime. i want to know what is the cause of this. some have said i need to get a gear like a 4.10 rather than my stock 3.42's to keep the r's up, others have said i need to get my car dyno tuned or just maybe a basic tune(but i just bought a maft), another person told me that i need to get high flow cats or close up my borla all the way because i have no back pressure and that is why it boggs down, and that same kid said to unplug my pcm. and let it sit. Do we have self adjusting pcm's??? how do you unplug your pcm is there a website where it shows step by step how to unplug it and let it sit for a while? here are my mods to help everyone see what my set up is: i have borla open, whisper lid, k&n, ported maf, descreened maf, took out the front rain blocking baffle for the ram air hood, air temp module, ngk plugs, msd wires, mac headers w/offroad ypipe (o2 sensors), maft (set to 4%lean, never ataped but speed inc. said to set it at that), and most recently the nittos. and with all of that my best e/t was a 13.324 at 107.53 with a 2.192 sixty foot. is that respectable?? the whole day i was running 13.3's consistant which is pretty good for stick shift. i want to know what i can do to stop the bogging off the line. and how much would it be to just do a basic tune with ls1 edit, just changing my fuel trims and other things .and is there other things i can do with my maft other than just changing my WOT settings. thanks alot!

Re: what is wrong with my car
yes you rev it up pop the clutch and put your foot on the brake softly, not too hard otherwise you will lock up the back brakes too. and goose the gas so you dont hit redline or the rev limiter
