Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
The quickest ls1 for the mods I have ever seen and I think it's gotta be the quickest there is is a guy that post on here as UnbelievableLS1 from clarksville, tn..I've seen him run numerous times at beach bend and his car runs 12.6@112(2.0 60 ft!!!) on nittos with air lid and free mods with nothing else done and the only thing removed was the backseats(30 lbs?)..if this boy ever gets the extra money to mod the car, look out boys <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> also forgot to mention first time is this car is a 2000 SS <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
My buddy got a 2000 Z28 M6 and we had it a the track he went 13.13 @ 111.8 with a 2.28 60' on stock tires, my question what do you think he would run with some E.T Streets? all he has done is a lid, and he cut his muffler off, He did not have money for a catback and the car was to quite so we cut the muffler off and made a custom y piece so he could still have th tips

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
Well, I've got to be the skeptic. 112.5 mph is ALOT of horsepower for a basically stock LS1. There are some very serious guys with some very serious mods that only run 112's in the quarter.

I am not saying you didn't do it; I am just saying you essentially have got a 1 out of a million LS1. Perhaps the Canadians got a little bored on the day your car came down the line and they slipped a cam and set of heads on the ole girl. Still looks stock....

BTW...is she A4 or M6?

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
its a M6 car, gonna hopefully make some passes again tonight seems like theres a KILLER High pressure cold front coming down (the only other thing canada ever gives us thats worth a damn) and a helluva tail wind.....Dunno if the car will ever go into the .40's again, but it did twice in one night so as far as Im concerned, its backed up enough.

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
Welp, rain and junk track equipment kept racing tonight at cecil down to 1/8 only.... with that said the air wasnt bad 36*, 95%humidity, and 32 on the barometer, and the car almost matched its best 660' times... Tonight it went a 8.043@88.7, and when it went 12.43@112.5 the 660' was a 8.040@88.7 so definately not a fluke (tonights 60' was a 1.874 best ever 60' 1.872)

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
If this is turning into a quickest with the least N/A than with just a lid, Home Depot mods, YTP4500, 3.42's, HPPIII(shifts and gears only) Welds w/ ET Streets at around 3400lbs- 12.163@111.27 w/ 1.591 60'

I know its not what you asked for but this is pretty good for stock exhaust and stock suspension

Plus I need to get my weak post count up <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
Red Quasar, did you get that time at Milan or somewhere else? That is an impressive run and a very impressive run at Milan.

Also, did you get any runs before you installed the Hooker catback? I have heard some impressive results from the Hooker and was planning to put one on this winter.

That was on the stock piece of crap shifter (not hurst). Car is fully optioned ttops and everyting. 1800miles, gsc's, dino oil!

112 is possible, it just has to be a perfect run. You have a better chance of getting good mph when you are spinning off the line, at least that is the way it is for me. Keeping the momentum up is key.

*** And some of you guys are mentioning converters, pulleys, ftra's, and other stuff, hello? lid and catback.....do you speak english mathafackazzzz???? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_tounge.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Re: Quickest Lid&Catback car?
My buddy in his 2001 M6 SS went 12.54@111 with a lid, MAF sensor, PP, stock catback with a slp left front pipe, 4.10 gear on regular Kuhmo tires, at Thunder shootout.
Car went 12.85@110 with only a lid.
