The BeaSSt Update #6
The BeaSSt Update #6 Well after 9 long days of thrashing:

We arrived at No Problems Raceway Park, completed some of those last minute, non important items, like seatbelts <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" /> :

The shakedown run results:

Yes ladies and gentlemen, you are seeing that right, 9.934 @ 134.52 with a 1.347 60'!!!!! <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />
Unfortunatley, while going for the win against the S.A.M. car (Who set the record on this pass @ 9.74), a transbrake launch:

left us with a small crack in the oil pan upon touchdown...
But we are VERY happy, and will be back into it very soon! The car has MUCH more in it, some adjusting on the suspension, weight placement, and we will see you in the 9.60's! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Re: The BeaSSt Update #6 The beaSSt sure was a show stopper this weekend. After all the trials and tribulations and hard work it really paid off, although I really didn't have any doubts even after the late start we had on Friday. To see the smile on Dave's face after the run friday night was priceless and I don't remember him removing that smile the entire weekend. My hats off to Dave and his *crew*. I haven't seen a group of guys come together like that in a while and it really gave me some motivation to get my car finished up. That car has plenty left in it and I know Steven will drive the car to continual new best. Once again great job guys!
Re: The BeaSSt Update #6 The awesome results couldn't have went to a nicer group of guys. The BeaSSt crew kicks ***, and I gotta give credit to SAM/NWE for building yet another badass motor!
I'm also glad Dave got the SS back (finally!) so I could buy his 10" slicks/wheels which kept my tank in the 1.4X launch range all day. Woo Hoo! These 28s are FUN <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
