Questions on Removing HVAC system
HVAC is your heat and AC system
I don't think that's what you really mean
Do you mean
EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
AIR = Air Injection Reaction
If you're looking at removing EGR and AIR, no, there's no real performance increase (or decrease) by doing so. If you still have cats, don't remove AIR. Obviously you will not be able to pass CA smog with these removed, even with codes deleted with LS1Edit.
You lose about 4-5 lbs off the front end by removing all of the EGR & AIR system.
You'll lose a LOT more weight by removing the HVAC system. Remove the heater core, A/C blower box, ductwork under the dash, A/C compressor & hoses... I bet you'd lose 50-75 lbs easily. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
