mild steel BMR is 31 pounds lighter than stock kmember.
I'd be curious to see how much a cromoly PA k member would weigh when used with Madman motormounts. This might be even lighter.

After checking wieghts with the different kmembers..the BMR comes in the lightest..like mentioned earlier because of the built in motor mounts.

How hard is a k member to put in? Time? Can it be done in my garage? Is a lift a must?

Thanks.

2000SILVERTA, yes you can do it in the garage. Pull off the shocks/uprights or support them with jack stands. Support the engine with jack stands. Remove the 8 motor mount bolts, rack and pinion, brake lines, and 6 retaining bolts. Put new one in put everything back in. You will have to fabricate something to hold line to the k-member at least were it goes from tube to hose.
